DAY EIGHT

:  When I knew I was going to Italy, I phoned the tourist board in Toronto, and a very nice person there sent me a map of Umbria, which I studied, and saw, with delight and excited anticipation, that there was a town close to Ficulle that had “terme” on the end of it. You know what that means. And if you don't, it means there is a spa in that town – thermal waters. Well, it's not good to just be on the run all the time is it? How would one meet locals and absorb local customs and colour? In the universal solvent, of course. So day eight consisted of a visit to that town and a loooooong time in the waters and different therapeutic rooms, and then a massage each. We got very relaxed.
